The Colours of Autumn

 

At this time of year there is little to compare with the colours at Westonburt Arboretum

After a rest 

 

it's time to depart via the new treetop walk

 

as the fairy woodland folk retire for the night :)

 

So Long Roy Dotrice

An all time great. Dotrice's performance won him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the greatest number of solo performances, which totalled 1,782.

Many years back I saw him in a live performance as the 17th-century gossipmonger and diarist John Aubrey in Brief Lives. A tour de force. Always remember at interval the curtain never fell, he simply feigned sleep on stage to wake up 15 mins later to continue his lengthy monologue.
