In an English Country Garden

You can't beat tea n a slice of cake in a beautiful, in this case Cotswold, garden on a sunny summers Sunday :)

This might be a bit small but it's a scene from something like a room with a view or tea with Mussolini. An old wind up gramaphone next to a picnic basket seen through a view hole in a hedge. Great composition.

The copper beech made a colourful backdrop.

...and colours in profusion.

On the River Wye near Hay

..and a river ran through it.

The walk along the river bank

These colours were so vivid in contrast. The garden walk went over the bridge at the top and came back along the river. They also had a lovers seat in a dome made out of willow :-x

...but Mr Toad is all ours. He posed for an age on this leaf while I got the picture lined up n focused - this is the one who lives in the tiny den through the hole at the bottom of the back fence.
